JAMES T. GEORGE

CEO & Founder, Management Support Technology, Inc. (MSTI)


jamestgeorgJames T. George founded Management Support Technology, Inc., (MSTI) in 1990 after serving for 27 years as an active duty Army officer. Retiring as a Colonel, he served in a variety of infantry and comptroller positions both overseas and in the United States, including two tours in Vietnam and tours in Korea and Europe. As Assistant Comptroller of the Army for Financial Planning at the Pentagon, he led the development of the initial concept for an information system to integrate the Army’s programming and budgeting process.

MSTI is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), SBA-certified Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) located in Fairfax, VA. MSTI specializes in Government Financial, Program & Budget Execution, Information Management, Strategic Plan Assessments, Program Management, Systems Engineering, Document & Records Management, Administrative Support, and Logistics Support Services.

MSTI’s Quality Management System (QMS) is ISO 9000 certified since 2000 and the operational processes are guided by defined procedures and detailed work instructions. MSTI’s quality policy is based on the overall objective to “delight our customers.”

Mr. George is the past president of the Retired Military Officer’s Association (RMOA), an association of former military personnel who have created businesses, or are top decision-makers in their companies.

Mr. George earned a BS Degree in Biology from Hampton University, MBA from the University of Arizona and Advanced Management Certificate from Pennsylvania State University. He is also a graduate of the Army War College at Carlisle, PA.

Mr. George and his wife, Juliette, a retired Fairfax County school teacher, have been married for over 40 years and have two children. Their son, Tom George, worked in the company for the first five years of his career, and their daughter, Tracey Lynn George, heads her own Public Relations business.



Norris C. Middleton
President, Chief Operating Officer, Management Support Technology, Inc. (MSTI)


norriscmiddletonNorris C. Middleton is the President, Chief Operating Officer of Management Support Technology, Inc. (MSTI). He has over thirty-five years of professional hands on data processing experience in project management, systems engineering and integration, design, development, life cycle methodologies, testing and documentation. His detailed experience includes DOD program planning; systems conversion and installation; systems concept design and development; review and/or development of project master plans, test plans, functional descriptions of tactical and strategic command and control: systems design of menu driven software; education and training; and concepts supporting human factors engineering.

Norris is also the Treasurer for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Federal Credit Union (OPPFFCU). He joined the OPPFFCU Board of Directors in 1994 and has served as Treasurer since joining the Board.  He is a 1965 graduate of Hampton Institute and received his Masters in Business Administration from Long Island University in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army for twenty years from 1965 to 1985.  After retirement form the Army as a Li, he has worked for General Electric, CONTEL, and several small businesses before joining Management Support Technology, Inc., (MSTI) in 1998.
